A Study On The Relative Values of Maxillofacial Service

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to develop the relative value system of maxillofacial service in the Republic of Korea.
The author had measured mean maxillofacial treatment time of the maxillofacial service offered by dentists who trained for maxillofacial service offered by dentists who trained for maxillofacial surgery in the Republic of Korea.
A questionnaire of the complexity of 82 kinds of maxillofacial service had surveyed to 35 dentists who trained for maxillofacial surgery and worked at hospital.
Each complexity of maxillofacial surgery service was graded nom 1 to 9 by the hardness of each service. Each complexity of maxillofacial surgery service was determined by knowledge, skill, effort and responsibility. The relative complexity value
index
was obtained by factor analysis. Relative value index was calculated by the relative complexity value index was multiplied by mean maxillofacial treatment time. The Relative value index of maxillofacial surgery services were compared and
discussed.
